can you take it all away? ==Puddle of Mudd==.

First Impression= [4/5]

Uh oh. Even though I like Puddle of Mudd, I can tell I might have problems getting through this diary. (It's your font.)

Layout= [24/30]

Okay. There are several reasons why this template works and several reasons why it doesn't. First, why it works: The color scheme is perfect by matching standards. If it's not white, it's tan. If it's not tan, it's white. That's about as smart as you can get as far as choosing a layout goes, because it sucks if it doesn't match.

Also, the organization is impeccable. For one thing, you don't have block links (which is so much better for me) and all your links are organized neatly. You have the diary-related stuff, the review sites, and your buddies.

Okay, off track for a moment here, I noticed you link to kapostrophe! This is becoming a very small world. I just reviewed a friend of yours, burningfinch, and she knew kapostrophe (Kat) as well. It's a small world after all...

Okay, back on track. Why your template doesn't work: There's just one main reason. Your font is a serif font. Usually that drives me to pieces. I hate reading diaries that use fonts like Times New Roman or something along those lines. Just because the serifs usually get in the way. Consider changing your font to a sans-serif font, something like Arial, Verdana, even Comic Sans MS. Just not a serif font, please.

Also, your archives page doesn't match. I know Lissy usually gives out code for an archives page, doesn't she? If you go back to her site and find this layout, chances are that there's code for an archives page, because right now your archives page clashes horrendously with your entries. (Yes, it does matter.)

However, the biggest problem with this layout is the lack of previous and next links. Which means your reader has to go back and click on your archives every time to get a new entry. It's the most annoying thing on the planet. Go read your diary like reviewers have to, by reclicking on your archives page every time you want a new entry. Please consider adding previous and next links, for your sake. Reviewers at other sites will NOT be so kind about this.

To add the links, just copy this in:

== <a href="http://usareviews.diaryland.com/cocodancer2.html">next</a>

Content= [12/20]

Well, you started in July of 2002, and then you did what I did to my first diary - you let it sit for a couple months. I'm skipping over your first four entries, they probably have nothing relevant to do with your later entries. (If they do, let me know and I'll read 'em.)

The first entry I read was about you ranting about NASCAR. Good girl! NASCAR rocks!

Maybe you should consider adding an about page and a cast page, just so your reviewers have some idea of who you are and who you talk to. It gets confusing if you don't have one, because we don't know the things about your friends that you do.

Mostly, I found that you wrote a lot of daylog. Mostly, this is what I did today. The downfall of daylog, while it's usually boring for people besides you, is that there's no emotion conveyed in your writing. It's all "this is what I did." It's supposed to be, "This is what I did, and this is how I feel about it."

This was the first entry I found that had some real, genuine emotion relating to something that happened to you. (You were ranting about your friends and how they pissed you off.) If you wrote more entries like that, I'm sure your diary would be much more interesting.

Luckily for you, because you write a lot about NASCAR, I wasn't totally bored out of my mind. But you seriously need to write something other than daylog, if you want better scores in this area.

Where's the link= [5/5]

On the template.

Errors= [4/5]

Aside from your archives page not matching, none.

Contact= [4/4]

E-mail, notes, guestbook, AIM and Yahoo! on profile.

Organization= [10/10]

I really like the organization of this layout. I pretty much found everything I needed to find without having to search around for it.

Updates= [7/10]

Since June you've been doing okay, but you had a lot of skips in the months before June.

Bonus= [3/5]

Rings and fanlistings. A little about you snippet under your main links.

Will I be coming back?= [4/6]

Not sure yet. I'd like to see if you start writing more than just daylog. Also, you're cool on my list because you know one of my friends.

What I thought of the diary?

Like I said, skip the daylog. Write about boys! Try some fanfiction... I dunno. Just, no daylog!

Number of entries read= all except four

Total: 77/100
