First Impression = [5/5]

Wow, that's a lot of brushes. Good thing they're pretty.

Where's the link? = [5/5]

On the links page.

Layout = [30/30]

I was surprised when I found out that your designer is Joanna. She's very talented, yes, but some of her designs are over-used. I'm glad you picked one that not everyone else is using.

Now then. The brushes are simply lovely. Sometimes too many brushes can take away from the writing; they make the reader want to stray away and stare at the pwetty bwushes... Not the case here. The accenting, although a little extreme, is still not enough to get me to sway away from the entry.

I love the navigation and the link color. I adore the fact that your guestbook matches. I love everything about this layout, except two teensy things - the placement of your imood. Maybe move it to after your entry title, so that your readers can know your feelings on your current entry before they read? Also, I don't like the placement of your previous and next links, but at least you have them.

Content = [13/20]

When I read your about page, you seemed to me to be a very up-front person who is easily capable of speaking your mind. My opinion on you is the same, but I have something else to add - reading you might've given me a cavity.

Most reviewers would jump for joy at coming upon the diary of a teenager who seems not to know the definition of "angst". If I wanted to find "my life sucks, I have depression, it's so bad, my boyfriend dumped me, I want to commit suicude" in your diary, I would be searching forever. You say you like Disney. You and Walt Disney would've gotten along just fine. You would've fit right in to the happy fantasy worlds he's created.

You're also an avid Christian, as showcased here, here, and here. Well, actually, it's showcased just about everywhere. In all my time alive, I don't think I've met a person more into God and Christianity as you. Not even my minister compares, judging by what I've read. Not saying this is a bad thing, it's definitely not. Having strong faith is stellar, compared to those of us who are losing our faith. It's just, at times, reading about how wonderful God is can be kind of, well... The best analogy I have for that is a toddlers' t.v. show. Barney, Blues Clues. Something like that. Where all it is is happy, happy, HAPPY!!

What turned me off most about you? This. You don't even know nor do you care about the reasons behind why people cut. I do it, and I don't go showing my cuts off to my friends as though they would make me "kool". In fact, I'm quite ashamed of my scars. But you, you made the generalization that all people who cut must do it to be "kool", to be trendy. You couldn't be further from the truth.

You probably have not been depressed before. If your definition of depressed is "going five minutes without thinking about God", then you have NOT tasted what it's like to be depressed.

All in all, after this lovely rant, I've come to the conclusion that you would like everyone to think like you. You would like the world to be God-loving, you would like us all to stand up and sing about God, but that isn't going to happen.

As for your writing style: "Kool" is not a word. And you write too much daylog. You mention you're Christian, yet you didn't tell us how you became one. Most of your entries lack raw, solid, "I would really, really, REALLY give my life for God" type of emotion. You didn't write a single entry that left me in my chair thinking "wow."

Errors = [5/5]

Not one in sight.

Contact = [4/4]

Notes, guestbook, e-mail, aim.

Organization = [9/10]

Links organized into four separate categories. All fine and good, but your archives page needs to be, well, archived.

Updates = [8/10]

You have a few multiple-day skips, but you have several multiple entries a day to help make up for your score.

Bonus = [5/5]

Links, rings, booklist (which is a really creative idea, by the way.)

Will I be coming back? = [1/6]

Likely not. I was planning on maybe a 50/50 chance, until I saw your cutting entry.

What I thought of the diary?

I don't want to get started on that rant again! Re-read this review, you should know. A beautiful layout, but opinions, sadly, that leave me feeling sour.

Number of entries read =all

Total: 85/100
